I am on a radeon 9600xt, which plays the games that I play (Counter-Strike Source and World of Warcraft) just fine, but I feel that I could be getting a bit more out of my computer so I bought a VisionTek x1300 XGE with 512 MB DDR2 in the AGP format

Well I didn't really see a question so I will give my opinion. You wanted a bit more, and a bit more is what you are going to get, as in just a tiny bit. The X1300 is only slightly, and I mean very slightly better than the 9600XT. In my opinion, not worth the time and money to upgrade.
