A clumsy technician wiped itunes off my laptop, and I had to reinstall it. Now itunes give me a message that the ipod can only syncronise with one computer - and that to attempt to sync with the "new" computer will result in the tunes from the computer being transfered to the ipod. Since there are no tunes this could mean I lose everything from my ipod. Is there a safe way i can transfer the tunes from my ipod to my laptop?

nicely, the manually importing songs is the answer for your challenge. even if that songs you opt for to "delete", purely uncheck them and click on "Sync/replace iPod" from the record menu. That way, they're nonetheless on your iTunes yet are deleted off of your iPod. First even if, make effective your iPod is switched over to steer. reliable luck

DON'T DO IT. I bought a laptop and then plugged in my ipod, it then said would you like to update your ipod, so I stupily said 'yes' wrong. It wiped all my songs off and have had to transfer them manually from my PC. So don't what ever you do is up date your ipod!
