When people used to post questions every five minutes
When you received at least 20 answers for each question
When you never received any bad ratings
When the France Italy rivalry was at it's height
When Touzours was a man(that's a joke Touzours!)
When we all spent so much time on here.
God help me, I'm beginning to sound like my mother now, reflecting on the past!
I suppose it's true what they say, the older you become, the more you start to sound like your parents!
I'm beginning to ramble on now, another trait of my mother's!
Ok, I won't say anything else now, I've reached the end of Memory Lane!
Thank you for indulging me!

Of course I do, and I sure miss those times... at least there was plenty of thoughtful discussion going on as opposed to today's occasional question that would most likely be irrelevant to football.
When people used to post questions every five minutes
- An average rate of 3 questions every 5 minutes, in my opinion... and they were interesting to answer!
When you received at least 20 answers for each question
- Still haven't asked a question yet, but you still see a lot of questions with more than 20 answers in this category because a lot of us have stayed all this time!
When you never received any bad ratings
- At least the opinions expressed in our posts were hardly personal. We barely knew each other (or, should I say, our Internet personalities), so nothing was nearly as offensive as some of the comments these days.
When the France Italy rivalry was at it's height
- As mentioned, only a fraction of the comments were to be taken personally. There were "debates" going on, but I generally considered them good-natured and the insults hurled were less severe.
When Touzours was a man(that's a joke Touzours!)
- Didn't make much of a difference. It's one of those things you suspect about someone but you don't want to be intrusive about.
When we all spent so much time on here.
- I still spent a few minutes reading what kinds of questions are posted here, but I rarely answer them these days; many are just personal and not worth answering. This was probably the most thoughtful question I have seen in the 2006 FIFA World Cup category for a very long time.

I totally agree with you about the fact that we don't receive as many answers unless the question is highly controversial, in which case there are a lot of insults.
About the ratings I think people went higher in levels, and were able to rate people more.
I have been a member of here longer than anyone I have checked (since 29 Dec '05), but as my studies got more I couldn't spend that much time in here. Now, I have a little break, so I can.
I don't know how some people can get to such high levels, even though they're asking questions constantly (a compliment).
And yeah, sometimes the questions keep repeating themselves (like the one comparing Rooney and C. Ronaldo)

yes i remember.... all the times i would stay up late.. the passion of football reflecting out of every user in this forum. some got out of hand but it was very fun! the rivalry was intense and it was just great to come on here and to know that there were some people that actually knew something about football...
sinse 2 weeks after the world cup i stopped comming on here. and when i came back on i was amazed on how so little of the original world cup people are on...
it was great...
and i wish it was still the same today

I can see your point, but the WC has been over for months now and the insults can get kinda stale at times. Especially since I have Touzours practically face painting red, white, and green. I think the reason she isn't on anymore is because the logic I have expoused is finally starting to cut through her delusions of French football superiority.
