To everyone that answered my first question I want to thank very much but I want to clarify one thing. When I confronted the ex-wife my husband was not home, the kids were in the house, and I had no intentions of ever fighting her. She has come after me several times and I have never hit her. I also only hit back because she drug me to the ground and thats when the kids came out so I was trying my hardest to knock her off of me to make her stop. I finally flipped her over and pinned her down. Lets just say that my face was mangled and she didn't have a scratch so that shows I was trying to stop her not fight her. Anyways, the judge will not give a restraining order cause I am not blood related to her or she is not my ex. My husband did try to get a no contact order but they denied it cause there was no physical contact between them. After that he said he only did it 2 make me happy and that he is glad it did not go through. God this man drives me nuts but I luv him so much. What do i do

A restraining order is just a piece of paper. It's useless if this woman wants to hurt you. Anytime she comes on your property lock the doors and call the police immediately. PRESS CHARGES. when given the chance. EVERYTIME. If your man is angry he's not on your side where he needs to be. The more times you press charges the more of a record she will get and the harsher the punishment. Eventually a judge will get tired of her antics and threathen a very strict punishment is she continues to harrass you. You need to press assault charges for what has occurred already if still possible. I spoke to a DA once about this similar situation and this is the advice I was given.

did you consult a lawyer? was there any witnesses? I have been in a similar situation. I got an order of protection because a girl was harrassing me on the phone and following me where ever I went. You really do not need much evidence to get an order of protection. It really was just her word against mine but my word was honest and the judge knew that. Please get a lawyer and your face being mangled should had been enough evidence to give you a restraining oder. Dont give up!!!

You have to call the police each and every time this happens. They will and have arrested people and brought them to court over it. In my state you can get a restraining order on anyone that is a threat to you, not sure why you can't in your state. When my ex and I were at court for a child support hearing, his new g/f threatened me and the court put one on her and made me sign it. I wanted to let it go, but they insisted and waived the $50 fee to boot. Your husband should talk to his ex and tell her to BACK OFF.. she is getting nowhere behaving like this and she looks like an *** when she does.

in case you may tutor evidence that he has violent inclinations such because of the fact the attack on the bartender and a checklist out of your surgeon, i've got self assurance a decide could difficulty a restraining order. they seem to be a lot greater liable to difficulty them these days considering an excellent style of divorces have further approximately violence and a decide would not choose that to come back lower back to his courtroom docket.

EVERY TIME SOMETHING HAPPENS LIKE THIS REPORT IT TO THE COPS AND TAKE PICTURES TO PROVE YOUR CASE. AND AS FOR YOUR HUSBAND LEAVE HIM. HE IS NO GOOD. HE OBVIOUSLY DOESNT WANT TO SEE HER IN TROUBLE AND SO IM THINKING THERE ARE PROBABLY UNRESOLVED FEELING THERE. IT WOULD SEEM HE CARES MORE FOR HER THEN YOU. B.V YOUR SAFETY AND POSSIBLY YOUR KIDS IS AT JEOPARDY HERE AND ALL HE CARED ABOUT WAS KEEPING HER OUT OF TROUBLE...... ID BE ASKING MYSELF WHY IF I WERE YOU.

Order of protection and tell her next time you'll have to call the cops.

I mean i can totally see why he wouldn't want it to go through.
Can't you.
