For the first time in my life i am not going to be home in New York for Christmas. I am going to miss the snow soo much! yes, snow sucks every other day of the winter EXCEPT for Christmas! So do you guys have any ideas on how I can keep myself from missing mine and my familys tradiations while not being at home. Also since we are going away, we won't get any presents. I don't mean to sound bratty, but it will be really hard! So just give me any ideas you have!
Thanks!!

I believe that while homesickness is hard, it's good for you. You've obviously come to appreciate the greatness your family has provided for you over the years and that's great! Maybe you should buy some cards and during the lonely times, write to your family about how much you miss them and love the way things are when you're at home. Let them know how much you appreciate all they've provided for you over the years. It might make you sad but you'll be a stronger person for it and your family will know how much you care! :)

I've been away from home on Christmas before and it was really hard. Why can't there be any presents? At least something small? You need to make it as much like home as possible.
