He should have retired 3 years ago.

As a Packer Fan, Brett Favre should retire this year. He is a good quarterback, but he is 37 years old.

He will play hard each game, and some times he hurts the Packer team with all the interceptions.

With Rogers as a quarterback, The Green Packers will not be the same.

He will "pack" whenever he feels like it. He has the word. Why do you think he's still playing eventhough the Packers aren't doing so well? "Because he is Brett Favre." He might not be the owner of the team, but he might as well be, because not even the owner would say no to him. He has been a great QB. Hall of famer. Legend. Fighter. This guy has all my admiration. But I think it's time! ~ and he certainly knows it.

I think Brett Favre could still be effective but only on a team that has alot more talent than there is in Green Bay. They have lost too many offensive stars and have had a hard time replacing them due to injury. They did a decent job rebuilding their defense this year but still have alot of holes to fill. Ahman Green used to be a monster in the past but the offensive line has way too many holes to fill with them losing so many pro bowlers. I know that the front office in Green Bay wants him to walk away on his own terms but in my opinion he's hurting the team more than helping them with his unwillingness to take a backup role and mentor Aaron Rodgers even though he's out due to injury. One other thing that hurts Favre at this stage in his career is that he still has that gunslinger mentality which gets him into alot of trouble with teams that have elite pass rushers and blitzers.

I think Brett Favre is one of the best, in some of his games, its like he still has it, then in other games, he looks like he has lost it. I personally think he should hang it up this after this year.

Brett should have been done last year. I hope for his own sense of dignity and sanity, that he's done after this year. Then he can go be an announcer or something, but he just needs to let go of the game. I actually kind of feel bad for the guy. It's hard to let go of something that you love.

No way. He's got about 2-3 more good years and is in good condition for his age. It just seems like he's lost a step since he tries to force things. But there's not much you can do right now with a sub-par team. And I'm not even a Packers fan.

"Pack it in", so to speak?

I love the guy, but GOD he looks awful. His decision making is horrendous lately, and he just doesnt have the same zip on the ball or distance he used to.

But how do you bench a guy like that? Future Hall of Famer, Lambeau LEGEND. I mean, you just cant sit him, and yet you cant let him continue to lose games for the Pack.

Its a tough call, but yeah, he may have to call it a career.

He is done. I only hope the bears fans have the class to give him a standing ovation when they announce his name at the game on new years eve....seeing that it will be his last.
