The definitive answer is "Numb"
See this website which says:
"[Edge] has lent his vocal talents to several U2 songs, first singing lead on "Seconds" from the War album. He later took the lead on songs such as "Van Diemen's Land" and "Numb", and sang a solo version of "Sunday Bloody Sunday" during 1997-98's PopMart Tour."

The lyrics to Numb's first verse are:
U2
Numb
Don't move
Don't talk out of time
Don't think
Don't worry
Everything's just fine
Just fine

Some other people said he sang Lemon, but this is not true.
Bono sings Lemon.
Hope that helps

8-10 years ago?-i dont think he sang any from the "pop" era but going back 13 years(is it really that long?!!) it would probably be "numb" with singing of sorts! with backing vocals by bono and larry-he sang the part on "lemon"("midnight is where the day begins")and he sings the high pitched gospel bit on "The Fly".He sang "seconds" from the war album which has been mentioned before.

The Edge sang lead vocals on a song called "Van Diemen's Land" from the 'Rattle and Hum' album released in 1988, and, like other people have mentioned "Numb" from 'Zooropa'.

the music video for this one is great. you can find it in my savefile project here: http://www.savefile.com/projects/350790
or you can listen to it here: http://www.dogpile.com/info.dogpl/clickit/search?r_aid=D84ADF49E68446CC860F18EE8ACFDD70&r_eop=3&r_sacop=8&r_spf=0&r_cop=main-title&r_snpp=8&r_spp=0&qqn=y%261k4hu_&r_coid=372372&rawto=http://www.1501.net/public/U2%20-%20Numb.mp3

if it make it any more interesting, Larry is the one that's actually saying the repeating "i feel numb" parts near the chorus =)
Edge also sang a few other U2 songs solo such as "Van Diemen's Land", and "Seconds."
during the popmart tour he would lead massive karaoke sessions while Bono was backstage getting dressed in his MacPhisto costume as well.
as for Vertigo era stuff, he sang the bridge "beneath the noise, below the din, i hear your voice it's whispering, in science and in medicine i was a stranger you took me in" part in "Miracle Drug"
=)
