Buy for your Mom what I'll never get to buy mine again.A set of pj's,slippers, and 3 pair of nice undies.I would get her the pj's one year and a robe the next.I always had to get her to donate her old things, so she would be needing new about Christmas.Do you think she figured me out?Merry Christmas to you and your Mom....

oh dear... i misread "where do i buy a mother!" ...

coming to your question. Well you have nearly answered it yourself. By her a plant. An indoor one. Will stay for years and years and she will enjoy taking care of it. Paint the pot or something to show some effort.
2. Buy her books. Perhaps a book on gardening, cooking, drawing etc. Oh yeah buy her a creative artists set, you know water colors or pencils with a sketch book. It might be something she has been wanting to do all the time if she is the creative type.

At home depot and places like that they have little kits to grow your own herb, flower garden that is good for a nature lover. Candles and bath stuff are always good for any women, make a basket (so she can reuse the basket) with candles, her favorite sweets, bath soaps, lotions, a cd or dvd and a book. All things that are useful and lots of different things for you to choose from. Does she like to sew or knit if so get her some supplies at a craft store or a gift card along with them. Good Luck!

What about taking her to a Garden Show in the Spring? Or buying her tickets to one? Or take her to a Nursery in the Spring and letting her pick out a few new items for her own Garden, but make up a "certificate" telling her of your plans.

i'm a mom, and trust me, what i'd like more from my kids rather than anything 'bought', is their time. spend time with your mother. one of the most meaningful things that i've ever gotten for christmas was from my youngest son - a little coupon book that he made that had tons of different things he and i could do together. i'd just tear out a coupon and hand it to him and we'd make plans to do whatever was on it. you could think up tons of things you and your mother could do together. things like take a walk, talk for an hour or so, play cards, garden, shop. doesn't matter what it is, the important thing is that you'd be giving the gift of yourself and your time. can't buy anything better than that, it's priceless. ;)

This might sound crazy, but what if you pay for her to join a fruit of the month club? It is natural and she can enjoy many different varieties of fruit.
