Are People so bored in their own lives that they really care what Britney Spears does?

other than being incredibly trashy what is interesting about Britney?

I think what sparks interest about Britney is that she went from child star to rising star to super star to falling star to black hole.

So, yeah, it's really just the astronomy people are interested in.

But seriously, she had EVERYTHING, talent, looks, money, and then she went completely wild and publicly trashy. She had her own show documenting and publicizing her downward spiral (or "romance") with K-Fed. She ASKED for the attention. True, many people are simply bored and want something to do, or maybe they like having things to talk about besides their hair and clothes. At this point, though, keeping up with Britney like watching a train wreck: you're horrified, but you can't look away, no matter how much you want to.

Oh come on. Don't slam people for asking "She did WHAT?" I'm not particular fond of Britney and I laugh with all the f* ups she is now making and think it's sad that she has two little ones at home and she doesn't seem to care. But it's a nice break from my reality. And my life is anything but boring.

Well partly that I think. I have this theory that the reason we are seeing so much of Britney and Lindsay and Paris and TomKat in the media is because America is in the middle of a hatefest with celebrity and Hollywood in general. So that by covering them to death, people feed on their own disgust with actually caring about these people. I really think most people are fed up with this set of people and are really reading about them because they hate not only the celebrities but also themselves for actually caring. But in reality people dont truly care. Notice how they use words like TomKat as if they are some two headed beast that is a single entity, like some monster, or Brangelina. By giving them these names they are almost trying to give them as much of a disgust inducing name as possible.

I really do think 95% of America truly hates these people. I know I do. Especially since we all know either consciously or unconsciously that this century is going to descend into chaos, and we know we are wasting our time on this stuff when we should be doing things to prevent this world from falling into utter anarchy and confusion. Its like smoking cigarrettes, we know its gonna kill us, but we do it anyway.

Britney Spears has performed a lot of truly stupid and dumb issues previously. the clicking became her into this terrible human being (if she replaced into only your generic, time-honored, notorious human being human beings does not care.) I for a even as concept she replaced into the worst! previously I loved her, yet then she did a lot of undesirable issues. i realized that being in her footwear must be heavily stressful (I advise way more advantageous stressful then i ought to imagine) and persons only don't realize that.

yes of course ... MANY people live vicariously though the lives of celebrities. Others - well... they seem to somehow convince themselves that they're so much alike and can can somehow relate to things going on in the stars life.

Personally - no "star" is worth the effort to care about what they do... and how they act.
