I can't decide if I should get a varsity jacket. I have a letter in marching band, but I think that's really geeky. I would be embarrsed to wear it.
But I will get a letter for lacrosse in 2 years and I would want that on my jacket. So I can't decide at all! Any advice?

Get the jacket, It's not for now, its for later in life! Every once in a while when I'm not running after my newborn, or buying pampers, or having a client meeting, I look in my closet and see my old Varsity Jacket and it takes me back to a great time! Trust me on this, High School is a great time in life, keep all the memories you can! It's not Geeky!!!

My advice is, you should probably not get a varsity jacket. A varsity jacket is something only worn during your stint in high school so if you won't wear it, don't get it. Because once you graduate there couldn't be anything more uncool to put on than something from high school.
If you receive a letter in something your more proud of and would want to put on a jacket then go ahead and get it. Just make sure that you wear it at least for a portion of the year because varsity jackets are generally expensive and once you graduate it finds its permanent home in the closet.

So get it in 2 years when u letter in lacrosse. I got one & never wore it - waste of $$$ for me.

Get it....when you are older, you won't care about the band thing being geeky!! I promise!! And, when you get your lacrosse patch add it on your jacket.

Well, they're expensive and you probably won't wear it after you leave high school. I'm not saying you shouldn't, but I never did (I ended up with around 7 letters in my high school career) and I have never regretted it.

My brother got a varsity jacket, but ne never wore it at all. I would suggest "no"

You should get it I wish now that i am out of school i wish that i would of got mine I where my BoyFriends all the time lettering in somthing is somthing to be proud of dont let it go to waste!

It's a waste of money. H.S. pride only lasts 4 years, then it's hella lame to wear it.

You should get it if you can. Even if you don't wear it, you'll be glad later that you have it.
