40 to 50 bucks is normal, any more than that then i would question them why

you can find a small time little guy with his own shop to do it for a good deal, just ask around at work and such, someone will know who to take it to, someone at your work might be a mechanic on the side, as are many ppl including myself and a neighbor and so on

good luck

Around 250 to 400. You never gave the year and model. nor did you offer how many miles are on the car. This price is taking in to account a simple pad swap and up to replacement of the rotors. Things that can be replaced during a brake job Pads/Shoes, Turning of the rotors/drums or replacement of the rotor/drum. spring kit on drum brakes.

$60-$80 on the lowest end
$140-$160 on the top end.

It depends on the quality of the pad, semi-metallic are more expensive. And whether or not a disk has to be trued.

If a rotor has to be replace, all bets are off. It could easily cost $150 for a disk all by itself.

Just pads, somewhere in the 120 region.
Or you could do it yourself for 40 dollars in parts.
