Is this supposed to be a rhetorical question? Of course he dived. Every world-class striker and midfielder has honed their diving skills to a razor edge. Nothing wrong with that...I mean, why try to shed every hit you absorb...most times, if you don't go down, there's no foul called. Besides, any player that drops like a leaf on every attempted tackle will soon get no calls at all, and defenders will be able to disembowel him with impunity. The outstanding footballers pick their spots for their flopping.
Hockey players learn the same skill too, although in the NHL, if you get caught diving, you get two minutes in the penalty box. Gordie Howe, Bobby Hull, and Guy Lafleur, were all accomplished divers. Mario Lemieux, Paul Kariya, Sergei Federov and Jaromir Jagr could all fight their way through any check, but they were also to raise diving to an art form. And Wayne Gretzky was the absolute master of the dive. Crosby and Malkin will soon be doing their full gainers and cannonballs to the ice at the Mellon Arena.
It's a part of both games...the only time the complaints fly is when someone's own team is gets the short end of the call.

Dive or not, that doesn't matter. What matters is that Ronaldinho fooled all the defenders including the GK. Ronaldinho's magical foot will take Barca all the way to the top.

I hate to say this...but i think he did... he knew how important it was to get a goal then...lol i didnt like it but then after seeing the free kick...i was like who cares too! hahah...great thinking by him..to not kick it over the wall....and then another goal soon after!...all credit to Ronaldinho & Giuly for that...although Gudjohnsen scored it....
ok whats most important is tht-Barca WON! Yayyyyy!..:):) and what a game tht was!

The question is also, will the wall jump next time that Ronaldinho takes a free kick, he's gonna have many thinking. Yea, that was a funky goal.
Sorry to tell you but I liked Bremen, don't hate me for that.

cheeky goal for sure, but real genius too. he's actually tried that trick before but 1st time i saw it actually work, lol. OT but wasn't that a briliant 1st half?!! someone even called it "champagne football" : ))). anyway, never doubted for a sec barca would wing it 'cuz that's camp nou and there's no way they're going down on sacred ground, but dinho's goal really gave them a lot of confidence esp. coming early in the game. just felt a bit sorry for bremen when it was all over 'cuz they didn't play shabbily at all, just a bit unlucky. bet they'll win the uefa cup, lol.
