I work at a job where I feel that the walls are coming in, it's the Holidays, so there is literally no chance of being hired by another firm in the near future. I do the work that five people should be doing, quite frankly I have no idea what I can do at this point but suffer through it.

I understand what you mean. I would still suggest you post your resume online at one of the major job boards e.g. monster, hotjobs, craigslist. Sometimes, employers come looking for you too. You may not get a job this month..but you may have a chance at interviewing for a new job at the start of next year.

I would suggest you hang in there and try to network with people you know and see if you can get any leads. Also, try to get in the holiday spirit..it might help you get through this tough job. I hope you get a bonus. You might also be getting a performance review soon and I suggest you mention what you said to us..and ask for a raise or promotion. I was stuck in your situation once..and later I was promoted. Good luck.

A few things you can do, in addition to reading the articles below.

Do nothing.
Change a career.
Change a job.
Use burnout as a trigger for personal growth (see last article link).
