Yes and no.
Yes she does have a 'technically' good voice; she can hit all the notes and she has a wide range. but. . . . .
No. Having an amazing voice doesn't neccesary make her an amazing singer. Some of the greatest singers aren't actually that good. Think Dylan, Jagger, Lennon, Springsteen, Elton John and many more. What these less-than-proficient singers DO have though is soul.
For instance when Springsteen sings " I swear I'd drive all night just to buy you some shoes" I believe him. He convinces me. When Whitney sings " And I ey I ey I ey I I ey will always looooooooooooooooooooooove youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu" I don't believe a word that comes out of her lying mouth. She isn't putting emotion into the songs shes just saying 'look at me, listen how clever I am hitting all these notes" Its fake, its unbelievable, it has no heart, no soul.
Christina fits into the Whitney category; as does Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, and the bird off X-Factor. People will admire the voice, but after a brief period of interest people will stop buying the songs. Springsteen et al will go on and on and on - as, indeed they have done. The Whitney's of this world will crash and burn.

oh i do, she is the only one that really is making it still and not letting her life go like britney spears. her life is a mess. Christina is really the smart on. and has an amazing voice and she doesn't lip sync which is a great bonus! that and writing her own songs!

She does have an amazing voice and I think that her Stripped CD is great. I don't have her new CD but the reviews say that it is very good

Good vocal range, yes. But it's annoying how she can't hold a single note for longer than a second before going all over the place with it.

She is like Cyndi Lauper was to Madonna ... not that i don't' loveee Ms Madge but sometimes the talented ones don't get the recognition they deserve

She uses it on crap songs.
And she's entirely too focused on seeing how many runs she can throw into a song.

excellent voice
and I like how she has done a total 180 compared to Britney. She went from Disney girl to trash and has turned it back to old school sophication.........or at least trying.
