We are still second class citizens. We get paid less and are offered fewer jobs. I don't believe in quotas for women in the workplace, but we still deserve equal treatment, equal pay.

We are no worse than men. That's why.

In some cultures, a woman is equivalent to half-a-man, even nowadays.
Also, a lot of women in more developed countries are regarded as being constantly available for men in many ways, in the name of sexual liberation and gender equality; but some of them are also ending poorer and lonelier for it, sooner or later. On top of which, many of them are obliged to treat feminism as the new f-word, mostly out of a fear of rejection.
But, lots of women have become first-class citizens after outclassing loads of other second-class individuals, male or female.
Having the right to vote does not equal the right to say no (and survive the consequences) for a lot of women out there.

Women are not now, nor have they ever been, second class citizens, despite what some misogynist asshats would like to believe.

Men have attempted throughout the ages to justify their pitiful excuse for existance by claiming "superiority" due to their jealousy over the woman's ability to produce offspring (and thereby PROVE her worth to society) - but all men have really succeeded in doing is showing what crude, rude, disgusting, uncivilized beasts they are.

When they became (or will become) economically dependant on men. Studies have shown that as soon as women are allowed to work for themselves, at equal wages, then divorce rates rise and women become more independent.

Check out the Ama pearl divers of Japan. See historically men have dominated economics because their bodies are better at doing heavy farm labor, mining, etc. But in Northern Japan, there were these women who were pearl divers. And since women have a greater percentage of body fat (better cold water insulation) and better lung capacities, they had the advantage. And society reflected this, as it was ruled by matriarchs and women were largely in control.

When the men finally realised that women were, and still are, amazing. If you are asking why as if us girls should still be second class citizens, then you're really sexist. And why do you think men are so great. All people are humans, and we should all be given equal rights.

What gives you or anyone who treats girls as 2nd class citizens the right to think your so god damn superior!!!!!!

women have never been second class citizens. We just let the men think they're in charge and then secretly organise the world. It's easier that way.

Women were never second class citizens. We just led men to beleive to boost their egos, it's all a conspiracy theory, one day we will take over the world because we have lulled them into a false sense of security.
