No. That would mean that it forces people other than christians to have a holy book that they don't accept, and would violate "Freedom of Religion" clause of the First Amendment.

And remember - freedom of religion includes freedom FROM religion.

America is a beautiful place because of all its cultures. There isn't a group of people more diverse then us, if you really think about it. And with that diversity comes different cultures and different views. I think America is an overall strong country because so many opinions flow into the "melting pot" and create a unique opinion all its own. And that means influence from other religions, so I think no, the Bible shouldn't be the official holy text, alot of people would disagree and be insulted.

This country needs not an official holy text. The USA is a democracy, not a theocracy.

George W. Bush brought America close to being a theocracy. The electorate shot him down at the last election. So the answer must be no, by majority vote.
