can't beat the first answer, that was deep, and beautiful. To directly answer your question, it is a virtue and a vice. Billions of $$$ spent on the 'beautifying" market shows that. When we choose a love what comes first, the beauty on the outside or the inside? Beauty is healing to the soul when it is a virtue, and pleasing to the flesh when it is a vice.

Anything, hidden or apparent, just as plant, scenary, face of woman, quality of person, animal or machine or memorable event for example; shot played by a tenis or cricket player or a peotry by poet, catwalk, or a chachter or inner behaiour of person, hair style, falling leaves, snow fall, niagra fall, new model car and so on... that is enjoyble to your eyes or something your heart appreciates may be called beauty.
