At the very least, you should take a practice test. You can find one online at their website or Princeton Review. That way, you'll at least be familiar with the question types. You can also get a book called Cracking the ACT by Princeton Review that's very helpful. There's also a book called The Real ACT Guide that has real questions. Practice makes perfect and you still have time.

Don't stress yourself about it though -- just do some problems here and there.

The ACT has four parts, two English parts a math part and a science part. The Science portion of the ACT deals with applying the scientific method and deducing different things from the data presented. The math portion is not hard and it doesn't go too in depth. The two English portions deal with comprehension and regurgitating what you read. I personally took both ACT and SAT and I would say the SATs were easier on me, simply because of the science portion on the ACT is not fun and I found it difficult.

I would study basic science stuff like the scientific method and how to apply it. Basic reading comprehension and things like apple is to banana as kiwi is to _____. Things like that. The math doesn't go too high, I cant quite remember, but I don't think it went higher than calculus stuff.

The academics test is nothing. it's just a bunch of questions you've learned about all year. Don't sweat over it.
