how do I at least get it to go farther then it does now? Hit batting cages and practice by hitting balls?

Without seeing your swing or body type, there is only so much advice I can offer. But in general, you should focus on getting your trunk and lower body into the swing.

Be sure that you are striding into the pitch (it doesn't have to be a ton, but just the basic transfer of weight will help) and rotating your hips into your swing.

Check your swing. You should be swinging SLIGHTLY UP through the hitting zone (not a knees to shoulder swing!!).

Pick up Ted Williams' book The Science of Hitting - it is the hitter's bible and worth EVERY PENNY
