Baseball is a team sport, with each position having different demands and expectations.

A center-fielder should be fast - big is a plus, but fast is important. There is a lot of ground to cover.

A first-baseman doesn't have to be so mobile, so being slower is OK. However many coaches expect their 1B to add more offensive punch.

It is impossible to give general advice to your question. Find out what your coach has in mind for you and do all you can to fit it.
