Quit. Life is too short to work for a crappy boss. And you, my dear, have a crappy boss. When you quit, let her know that the reason is that you feel you would be more productive with another employer.

If you've been working there a month and never came accross the price tags, maybe she feels like you're slacking on the job. If the price tags are something you frequently should be using or going back to during work and you don't know where they are, that's a bad sign. Maybe she's not happy with your work and that explains the way she acts in front of you. Now would be a good time to ask her for a one-on-one and YOU ask HER what you can do to be a better employee before you wind up losing your job.

i dont think she is boss material, myself. try to learn where everything is and why didnt she know where they were anyway? but, just ask questions of the other staff members, smile no matter what and be courteous to every one, includiong the boss. aquir as much info as you can according to your position there and if she still finds you are lacking, start looking for another job. my sister had the same probl;em where she worked in a well known clothing store. there isnt much more you can do ther than do your best. and be confident, dont let her think you are a bit afraid of her or her smarrt mouth or dirty little looks. her attidude is her problem. she has to live with it. hope this is some help. good luck and merry christmas.

The best thing to do would be to talk to her in an open and friendly manner and ask her what you could do to help her. Let her know you like your job and would like to do more for her if possible. If you really like your job try and learn as much as you can about the company the people who 'made it' and talk to the people who have made it to where you want to be and get as much info to help you get there.

your boss thinks you're a slouch..get there early, offer to stay late, ask what you can do to help...show you are willing to work hard
