Aside from the spelling, English is one of the easiest languages, so I would say writing it, plus one has more practice in speaking than writing... German on the other hand well let me just show you a few things...
English: The
German: Die, Der, Das, Dem, Den
English: Adjectives are always the same
German: the ending of adjectives change based on the circumstances, of which I still do not fully understand...

It is harder to speak English properly than to write it. I was an English teacher back home and found that some of my students had the best grammar and no spelling mistakes but when the time came for them to speak up they didn't pronounce words properly or were too nervous to articulate sentences properly. While writing you can think calmly what you are trying to say, when speaking there's less opportunity.

hear, hear! I, too, locate it perplexing to appreciate a number of the questions. they're so poorly worded, so poorly spelt (and particular, that's a real observe) and the grammar is so atrocious that at circumstances i particularly can no longer confirm what the guy is calling. The rather unhappy part of it particularly is that this is the way some youthful human beings write in college (i've got examine a number of their essays, and that they might curl your hair. Then they ask your self why they get adverse grades and declare their instructors do no longer 'like' them.) One concept that has been progressed is that the U. S. is attending to be a non-print society. They hear and watch, fairly of analyzing. They voice-mail fairly of letter writing. this is an exciting concept, and might make a sturdy thesis subject count.

If you can't speak it properly you probably cannot write it properly either. On here, though it is probably just a typing thing. People trying to hurry and answer or ask. I, for example, speak and write real good but I can't type worth crap. I am kidding. I meant speak real well.

It's most likely harder to speak it at first, because you can't edit things that come out of your mouth....but it can be hard to write as well if the ideas are coming out faster than your hands can move :)

i would think speaking for the simple fact that you are unable to change or see what has been written. take having a conversation im vs. talking, i know so many people would rather do that.
myself, although i truly enjoy the written word, i much prefer to speak to someone. the gestures and facial expressions are lost in that medium.

I think it can be a bit harder to write because of spelling. It might be easy to say some words (ie wednesday) but impossible to spell them. (am i the only one who has a problem spelling wednesday?)
