I must have been about 4 or 5 when I learned about death from my friend who was about the same age and I remember feeling awakened, shocked, and I couldn't believe it, but accepted it.
What about you?

I think I was 6, or maybe 7 when my aunt died. Looking at my aunt in her casket is one image I can never forget. I remember standing really close to see if she would move and admiring the lovely outfit she was wearing.

I was about four years old and a very kind tall neighbor guy died. I used to go visit for bowls of ice cream and sit with him and his wife at their large kitchen table. It was a beautiful spacious home. I remember a box and being afraid; someone had to tell me because I would of asked for him and they did not want his wife hurt; she was an elderly refined lady. It ended up being my first taste of respect or learning about respect. She lived into her late 90s in that spacious home.
