When do I give the reciever of a 'secret santa' their gift?

I know what the person wants, but do I wait until the holiday party to give it to the person? But that would defeat the purpose of a 'secret santa' no?

depends on what everyone else in ur office is doing. some do gifts secretly thru the week, some wait til the party and exchange then

I'd say, if it isn't fragile or something that might be damaged in transit, such as flowers, mail it to them. Try and make it so that they get it just 1-3 days before the holiday party, and since it's Secret Santa, don't include a return address.
If it is fragile, then try to anonymously leave it on their doorstep so they get it the day before the party - maybe try doing it while that person is at work, or really late at night, like at 1am, when they won't notice you.

go with whatever the other are doing as after all the idea is to be sneaky about a secret Santa. do what you feel in your heart is the right thing to do. to be really sneaky type their name if names are on gifts this way there is no chance of someone discovering who it was because of the handwriting -- have fun

You can leave little gifts like candy, at their desk (or work station?) Then leave it at the party with the rest of the gifts others are exchanging. Just put the recipients name on it and then take your cues for what to do from the rest of the people there.

you do it before they show up, leave your self, then walk in after they do so they wont know it was you who sent it to them.
