Your PC is almost dead, back up your most important things immediately
If possible back up the image to a USB Hard Drive or CD/DVD
Then Defrag the drive, run a anti virus scan

It sounds like you either have a virus, or your display driver is acting up. I would recommend a full virus scan, empty your Internet Explorer cookies and files by opening your IE browser, going up to Tools then down to Internet options- delete cookies and delete files (check the delete all offline content). You also need to check your security options for sites- all across the board and make sure that the settings are on default. Make sure your firewall is turned on as well.

Then you need to go to your add and remove programs list from the control panel. If you see any odd programs like Eula stuff or ad aware or anything odd looking- like it's not from microsoft or companies you trust- then you need to remove those.

Another thing you can do is to go to your start menu, go to run and type in msconfig. That will take you to a list of programs that are starting up with your computer everytime it starts. There can be as many as 90 programs that you don't even need to use that are starting up and running behind the desktop of your computer. That can really slow it down. Select the Startup tab and deselect things like winamp, limewire, MS Onenote, Adobe... keep your keyboard and sound options there and your security programs... but any unnecessary stuff, get rid of. It won't harm your computer if these don't run right off the bat.

The next thing you might need to do (I wish I could know what else the error message said) is try to run updates for your display driver- which you can do through windows update as well.

I hope this will help you.

You can go here for a free virus scan (It's completely safe)

I need the actual error message. It seems like a memory problem. Take out the ram and see if you have the problem.

You need to write down the STOP error you're getting... it'll be like STOP: 0x0000008E - that'll lead you in the right direction to what's wrong. Search microsoft.com with that number.
