I wouldn't say it was immoral anymore than displaying the Confederate flag is immoral. However, I would say it was in terribly bad taste. As to the conclusions to draw from someone using the swastika in a political forum, I would say they were being deliberately provocative in order to get media attention or trying to instigate some sort of confrontation. I can imagine no other benefit from the act.

There is a left hand and a right hand version of the swastika the Nazis used the right hand version. It is a Hindu symbol of good luck and was also developed independantly by native American cultures. It dates back to neolithic times so predates the nazis by a few years. Basically, it was hijacked by the Nazis but it is still only considered as a Nazi symbol in the west.

I dont care actually. If something offends me I just ignore it. It is their choice, they have the right to do that. The swastika is a Hindu symbol anyway.

They have every right to use it if they want, but it certainly speaks volumes about who they are.

As for "stifle it libs" above who says that we shouldn't get worked up over symbols, how would he react if I spit on the flag? Also, is he not aware that Archie Bunker was a parody of asinine conservatives?

I'm kinda prone to consider the policies of the Right wing(Reicht wing), the Bush Legacy, and Hitler as Nazism. If you must know. By the way--anyone know where I can get an avatar representing Anti-Fascism??

It does not bother me.Anyone who is thin skinned and offended by a symbol should be evaluated by mental problems.

IT'S COME TO BE KNOWN AS A SYMBOL OF RACISM AND HATRED. IF THAT IS WHAT YOU WANT TO BE KNOWN FOR THEN GO RIGHT AHEAD. TATTOO IT ON YOUR NECK.
