65 and up with no errors.
most places would like to see at least that..but higher is obviously better. If you want to get better at typing try a typing test online that's free. Once you get better you can get a certificate with how many words per minute you type that you can take with you to interviews.

If you can type 40 wpm then you're fine, typing over than is great but not fret about it. I'm a computer major and most of my teachers and office assistants that I work w/ don't type over 50 or 60. If you'd like to improve I'd would recommend buying a Mavis Beacon software, it's usually around $10-$20 and very affective. With a month I went up by 20 wpm. Even if you don't type faster you'll become familiar w/ ALL the keys and that's important.

Most companies require you to type at least 55 wpm anymore. Anywhere from 55-60 is good, I think. Although I can type 75-80. :)
