Church young members got together and had bake sales etc. so they could make a Nativity Scene out of wood and paint it for their church yard. And some JERK or JERKS came along in their car and delibertately ran over it with their car. If I were the judge when they were caught, I would make them replace it with labor and money. What are your thoughts?

If caught and found guilty, these people need to make restitution in full and serve any incarceration one would serve in violating the laws that apply to destruction of private property. I know you are upset, rightfully so, but this is no different than someone running across a lawn and mowing down a stable boy statue or maybe a flock of plastic flamingos in a flower bed. I know this Nativity scene is special to you. But you have to keep it in perspective. The world seems these days to have two types of people where any subject that is sensitive. Those who believe, and those who don't and believe they need to irritate, annoy and embarrass those who do. Overreaction will give them what they desire. Best to let the law handle it and do what they can to find these slugs. Fullest extent of the law in my opinion. It's a stupid act of a tiny mind.
