How come when it comes to doing things in secret, like behind a computer screen for example, people start getting ugly and hateful? I've read so many questions here on YahooAnswers, and alot of them are racist, homophobic, and just plain hateful. Why would someone be proud of being a bad person? I know not everyone believes in God, so they aren't scared of the consequences, but even still, why would they WANT to be mean? I think people need to stop and think what they world would be like if everyone had those hateful tendencies. It would be a bad,bad place. I know there will always bad people, but I'm so glad there will always be good too.

Mostly ignorance, fear, frustration at not being able to say what they think and feel. Or to be who they really are. Or to even know who they really are.
If you are confident and like yourself, there is no reason to be mean to anyone.

We live in a very insecure society, where being pleasant or even caring is a sign of weakness. Look at the advertisements for video games on T.V most of them make it look admirable to be a mean person. Most " mean "people are really cowards deep down and cover it up with this front, so all you can do is truly know yourself and don't be afraid to be kind to others

I don't believe in a particular god... but i agree as well. People are animals. They try to survive. They want to be the head of the pack. They fight and scratch, even verbally to hen peck to the top. If only people would stop and realize that in being a human, they can rise above and give love instead of hate, open mindedness instead of judgement...

The reason there is so much hate in the world is because of the Devil and because people dont believe in God. I mean if people dont believe in God what do they have to believe in??? Thats pretty scary. Just Pray for them is all I can say!

i do not pay a lot interest to the Jonas Brothers, yet they do look kinda poopy. Miley Cyrus appears like a self-based entire contained in the butt who's too grown. (Jonas Brothers look too new child like.) Who do I hate? Courtney Love is gross and ridiculous. for sure each body hates Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie is disconnected from reality too. woman Gaga sucks!!!! She's so ugly and untalented. that is it! that is my answer! She had a music about dancing and he or she will't even bypass. stupid.

Because, behind a computer screen they know they cannot be found and they go on ego trips. Probably, little crybabys away from the screen. I agree, would be nice, if everyone could do just that,

sometimes people who are frustrated with situatinos in real life can vent anonymously on the Internet.
others like to push buttons; and say things they wouldn't say otherwise just for the thrill of it.
and then there are some (I am sometimes a part of) who generally try to stay above that, but sometimes get drawn in, retaliating against a particularly nasty post, or angry about getting a violation for an innocent post.

Its the same as when people are driving, they get nasty swear etc, but in a similar situation in the supermarket with a trolley there isn´t this agression and rage. The reason, its more personal, when you see the person in the eye then its harder to hurt them.

Bad people don't think, they just do it and enjoy being mean.
If you say stop to this kind of people they don't understand they think you crazy and bad because you're trying to stop what they find pleasurable.

I think you just answered your own question. There will always be bad people and just knowing that they can be bad without everyone knowing is probably blowing their minds right now.
