I'm looking on Blue Nile's website and I'd rather have high quality diamonds than big ones. I'm wondering if anyone has studs that are 1/4 carat total (1/8 carat each ear). Are these just too small? I want them for everyday wear.

I'm really hoping to hear from people who have this size earrings. Thanks.

sorry, one last thing - it's only 1/8 per ear for a TOTAL of 1/4 carat. Thanks for all the answers.

I have a 1/4 carat certified diamond ring on my finger from zales and I think they would be the perfect size for earrings. I have small ears though so perhaps they would look smaller on someone else. if you have normal sized ears, then maybe step it up a notch. I guess it depends on how much you want to spend. I would go with a certified diamond. And Blue Nile is a very good website and jeweler.

They are not too small for a child. Even a 1/4 carat on each ear is would be small. If you want quality diamonds go to a reputable jeweler. They should tell you that the best quality diamonds are not usually used in earrings. Good luck.

I don't believe they can be too small, especially if a great dealer is selling them. I am sad to admit that my husband was going to buy me half carat earrings (1 carat total) but even the salesman at Zales said they look awful. They looked like costume jewelry on me, so lucky for my husband, I had to pick out a smaller pair :( I don't think diamonds can ever be too small though!! THEY ARE DIAMONDS!!!

if you are a simple woman with simple pleasures and not a lot of big hair covering your ears they will be fine. As a gentlemen and taking care of my wife I feel that the 1/4 is too small and the 1kt is too big, so I bought my wife 3/4 and I think they are just perfect. My wife is a diamond girl however we really never go out to the extent we want and she hardly wears them. I would go with a 1/2kt real and then later upgrade.

No, I think small is cute. You don't want to look like one of those rappers from the videos with huge diamonds in your ear weighing your ear down.

You also don't want to attract alot of attention. People get tempted and will want your earrings.

If I were you I would get them. Simplicity is the best.
Good Luck.

i imagine evidently reliable for a guy to have earrings...yet no longer in both ears, purely the left one. you should get a diamond stud for the left ear and purely allow the right one improve decrease back over. it would want to seem a lot extra efficient that way.

they are good for everyday wear, they aren't too big or too small and they are very comfortable. I had them until I bought bigger ones and I liked them.
