My son did the same thing, except he would not eat fruit, then meat, then this or that. It is just phases they go through, just keep trying to offer them. He might be wanting more solid food also if you are feeding just purees.

Both my kids went through this phase. They were at the stage where they had developed the ability to self-feed and didn't like being fed anymore, especially cereal. They both really liked the textures of solid foods and given that they were both over the 95% percentiles for height and weight, our doctor thought they may need the added caloric content of adult foods supplemented to the formula and what baby foods they would still take. Since both kids didn't get their first teeth until after their first birthdays, their emotional development was different than your 7 month old's so the clingyness I can't comment on, but the drooling could be teething. Our son was a drooler at that age but still didn't get teeth until months later. We started with cereal like Cheerios then progressed towards other easily chewable foods like cooked veggies, beans were a favorite. Stop worrying, this is normal.

My son change into like this as well there have been days he might want to eat as a lot as he weighed (ok mild exaggeration lol yet you get the theory) and there have been days he refused to eat something in any respect. For a at the same time as i'd make a mini breakfast platter i'd have a mini pancake a million scrambled egg and a pair of-3 decrease up products of fruit (for the mini pancakes i'd make it from scratch and then freeze it that way no waste and accessible in a hurry!) and that i'd tell him he had to have a minimum of two sections then he can play. Yogurt with sparkling fruit, jam and granola appears to be like a fulfillment with some young ones too. As for pushing her with cereals i does no longer maximum of them are all sugar in any case (being a diabetic myself it is extra substantive to be swayed with the aid of 'healthful' gimmicks :( ) purely locate what she likes or might want to nicely be prepared to attempt (even attempt your self) and locate ingenious procedures to sneak in healthful grains, protein in her regular nutrition.

Jucies and Fruits are the last thing baby should get. For instance if your going to feed him start out with the vegitable then the rice then the fruit. Otherwise they will reject the more tart healthy VEGITABLES! He most likely is teething at 7 months! If you think he's loosing weight see the DOC immediately. As far as the EATING the rice and other things should only be a small amount of his feeding...Breastmilk or formula is STILL number one until 1 year of age.

It probably is a phase. And I would guess teething has to do with the drooling and clinginess. They do start to loose weight the more mobile they get, so I wouldn't worry. They say babies crave what they need, so just keep offering it to him.

It could be just a phase, i recommend going to your GP or a dietary doctor. Make his food fun i.e The choo choo train. Show him that you are enjoying the cereal and veg by eating them in front of him and show him he can't have any, when he starts to cry give him the food, a big hug and tell him hes a good boy. Hopefully that will help :)

My daughter's 9months old and has been refusing veggies since she was 8months old.. I still offer veggies and coax her to eat some before she has her fill of fruit. She loves her fruit. I really hope its a phase, she's also very clingy and cries when other people hold her. I'm sure its just a phase.

Yeah he is probably teething. Get him some oragel or some Hylands teething tablets. Just keep offering the cereal and veggies and hang in there. This will get better soon.

They learn to love the sweeter taste, do not give in or it creates issues down the road, I let my younger son not eat them and now he's 9 and still won't yet my older son LOVES veggies. So stick to it!
