My baby was born early and when they were doing the exam, the found that instead of having the normal two lines crossing his palm, he only had one. They did a chromosome test and it came back fine, but I was wondering if anyone else had a baby that had this and if the children had problems developmentally as they got older.

One of my daughters was born with this simian crease. It basically means monkey crease. My daughter, however, does have a chromosome abnormality and a very rare one. She is severely delayed. Like a 4-6 month old in a three year old body. She also has many other major medical problems. With her, she is so rare, that the doctors do not know what to expect. She is the angel of my life and I am thankful for her every day.
