I also don't know what to tell my fiance?

A suit and tie is fine. Tell her you are going to take her to a night out and it is a fancy surprise for her and to have her wear a nice dress.

go as comfortable as possible and I personally hate a " penguin
suit. " but then to me having to wear even a tie is a pain. so wear a suit and tie and have your lady wear a nice dress. Brother, I'm glad it is you not me.
