No. You are not to blame for your inclinations. As long as you don't act on the impulses, you're not in sin. That would be like blaming people for having erotic dreams when they're asleep.
You're aware of the situation and that is a big step. God forgave you the first time, the minute you asked, and he always will.
I can recommend the book, "Coming out of Homosexuality" by Bob Davies (Exodus Ministries.) They have a website, check it out.
Praying for you. You sound like a very mature person.

If you abide strongly by catholic dogma then yes, but then everything short eating eating, breathing and praying is a sin when you get that serious anyway.
Take another approach. Sexual preference is not a choice, therefore it is biological and a product of your environment, which you don't have control over.
Would an omnipotent, omnibenevolent, omniscient god allow you to be born into being inherently sinful? I think not. Thus, regardless of what man has written in the bible, homosexuality is not a sing. And every single part of the bible fundamentalists use to decry sin can be refuted.

Ok you sound confused - and posting in the Lesbian section is generally going to get you only certain answers. Usually the extremes.
Im not thought police - but lets say yer thoughts are as dirty as my horny, perverted little mind - then yeah it could be a problem - but if yer just going hrm she's a hottie - well then that's no sin - if you are truly saved and have asked forgiveness - then move on.
Other then that - I'm going to keep my opinions out of this general area - since I'm trying (failing) to be nice

Ever since I came out to myself and learned the truth of what the Bible teaches from educated Bible scholars that have researched those passages of the Bible that supposedly condemn Homosexuality, I have been closer in my personal walk with God. I read the Bible and pray more than I ever have before I learned the truth. I do not feel guilty and sinful and I know that God truly loves me for who He created me to be. God doesn't create Junk. I enjoy enjoy sex with my same-sex partner and we are both very content. I sing in my churches choir and the Pastor knows that I am gay as well as other church members and they don't care what my sexual orientation is. Yes, I am a born again Christian, not just a name only Christian. Being this way doesn't mean that I have to follow the ways of all the bigots of the Religious Right out there. Remember that there are extremists in every Religion of the World.

No its not a sin. I'm gay and I'm trying to be Christian I just have other issues to work out. Just being attracted to some one of the same sex isn't the sin. Only if you act on it. Take straight people for example, they're attracted to the opposite sex but they can't lust over them either. Because a hetero's desires can be turned in to sin just like a homo's can. God has forgiven you, Jesus died for all sins. Everybody has sin in their life and no one is perfect. I'm glad you asked this.

I am a Christian of 33 years now. First, there is only one thing that will insure you a place in Heaven and eternal life. Receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Saviour and trusting in Him for your salvation. We all sin in some way or other. God can not look on sin, so He sent His only begotten Son to die on a cruel cross for ALL of our sin. All you have to do is ask Jesus into your heart, repent that you are a sinner, and you will be saved. With Jesus in your heart, you will want to turn from your sinful ways, but you will still be tempted (same for all of us). What you need to do then is to repent daily of your foolish thoughts and deeds and keep the sins before Jesus (remember He took care of ALL our sin - even sin we haven't committed yet). You will not go to Hell if you receive Christ Jesus - He is your only way to eternal life. We can not live a sinless life, and therefore, we are useless when trying to "save" ourselves by doing "good". We can do no good, but what we can do everything we can to live a life dedicated to God and try to live a life pleasing to Him. I really think He will help you with this if you will ask Him into your heart and believe in Him trusting Him to take your sin burden and place it uder the cross. Your heart is open at this time, so please ask Jesus in today, and receive His gift of eternal life - the rest will continue to be a struggle, but your worries about Hell will be over!

Gods are fragile issues; they'd be killed by employing a whiff of technology or a dose of uncomplicated experience. in case you confront a Christian with too many smart questions they have an inclination to throw biblical verses at you devoid of even understanding what there speaking approximately. this isn't any longer there fault. Thats the way they have been taught to think of.

I am not a Christian therefor I cannot give you the Christan prospective you are looking for. However I know many homosexuals or people that have lesbian feelings that struggle like you are right now because of their religious faith. If you have difficulty finding your answers strictly from the Christian world, although there are some very kind Christians, you may want to try a Unitarian Universalist church. It is not my place to tell you what is right or wrong. I just read your question and my heart goes out to you. I hope you find peace in whatever your decision may be.

Falling in love and being happy is what god wants and if you believe it to be a sin for loving the same sex then your going to be a fearful, lonely person for the rest of your life....live and be happy..
