I'm having a job interview soon. Would like to know if I should keep some notes with me and what should I say when I entered the room, thanks!

Say "Hello" not "hi" or "'sup" or any casual greetings Mr./Ms (Interviewer name) make sure you don't say "Misses" or " Miss" and use the ambiguous "Miz"

Make sure that you do some reasearch about the company you are interviewing for so that you can expect what they may ask you, and so that you can ask some questions.

Make sure that you know exactly what experience you have in regards to the job you are up for, and related experiences you think may help.

Don't ask questions about pay or benefits, but you can ask what the environment is like (how many people you may be working with, etc) You do, however want to make sure you have some questions to ask.

You may also want to have a copy of your resume, as well as a more expansive one that may contain info that is not on the one that you gave them.

make eye contact and say "hi, i'm jane doe." the interviewer should then introduce him/herself. if he initiates a handshake, make sure you have a firm grasp and, again, make eye contact.

take a small note pad and have your own pen. you should have a list of questions and you don't want to forget anything. and you want to be able to write down any information that is important.

an interviewer would rather see a person who is doing everything she can to be competent, rather that the one who later says, "well, i don't remember you said that about the job."

if the interviewer thinks that you will not need a notepad, he will say so.

jerrys_lo is right, don't forget to thank the interviewer for the opportunity interview.

good luck.

Say "Hello, I'm Jamie and I'm very happy to be here" Extend your hand and don't get gushy, but smile and be brief in your responses. Show interest in everything your interviewer is saying and look 'em in the eye. After all, you are doing them as much of a favor by participating in the interview as they are doing for you by their invitation. GOOD LUCK!!!!

When you enter, just introduce yourself and the reason you're there. What's so hard about that? I'm sure the job you're interviewing for will have much harder decisions to make.

Good luck.

Actually they should stand and greet you first. They might just indicate a chair for you to sit in and then address you. In any case, I would wait for the interviewer to speak first.

Just smile and say "good morning" (afternoon, whatever) - extend your hand to shake theirs while you introduce yourself. Show some energy and warmth and excitement.

Introduce yourself and thank them for seeing you. That let's them know that you know they are busy and that they picked you out of several other applicants.

"Hello, I'm Jane Doe. Thank you for seeing me today."
