i'd love to hear some original replies (not the everyday things like marriage, birth, graduation... ....) but it's all subjective so write from the heart, :)

thanx

When I came home from school one day and my mother was home, doing laundry and spiffing up the house. My mom was employed for all my childhood, so it was a rare occasion for her to have a day off. It was very special.

My most beautiful memory would have to be my Father and I play fighting. I was 3 or 4 and he was 47. He stands at 6"0, he seemed like a giant that day. While throwing hits at my dad, running inbetween his legs and laughing and playing, i know realize that would be the youthful image i have of my father. Now him turning 71 this yr, and still having them bad knees from Korea, and his health the way it just gets worse with age, its still a memory i have beacuse thats my dad, and i didnt want him growing old on me. Its like a battle ive been losing since i was born, and thats why its beautiful, because its been what make and breaks me.

I know you said: "not birth" but ask any parent and probably the answer would consist somewhere of the birth of a child/children. I still recall the holding my first born - my son now 22 years old! - mere minutes after he was born: all "dirty" still fresh from his mother's womb, with his red face wrinkled and his mouth all scrunched-up. The little so-and-so even urinated on me within five minutes of being born - and I still love him dearly. Likewise his younger (by three years) sister, I held gently and early in my arms mere minutes after she first saw the light of day! Both experiences were simply stupendously, marvelously indescribably wonderful! On the more mundane level, I remember the first time I watched a colorful butterfly emerge from a chrysalis, quivering as it sat for a minute or two drying its fragile wings in the sun, and then spreading those same gossamer wings open to take its maiden flight! was also privileged to watch live footage of Man's first landing on the Moon - a milestone in Mankind's history - "One small step for Man - and a giant leap for Mankind!" - truly!

Mine is a hazy visual memory because I was only about 2 or 3 when it happened. I was sick, I don't know with what, but I was in my bedroom sitting on my mom's lap in a rocker. I think we had a humidifier on, and it started raining in my room. The visual I have is that hazy orange-y late afternoon sunlight coming through a shade or blind, and water drops coming down from the ceiling of my room. I'm sure at the time it was horrible, I was sick after all, but in retrospect it's a visually beautiful memory.

Long time ago, I had a crush on this girl but never told her. I was dreaming of her alot . One day I got a call from a girl who said that she liked me so much but refused to say her name.
I knew the voice immediately. She tried to test me and said that she would give me 3 guesses to try to figure out her name. I told her that I can recognize the sound of her feet when she walks, then how couldn't I recognize her voice.
I said her name 3 times , and she was so happy about it.
We're no longer together and I haven't seen her in 4 years. I don't even know anything abt her.
But I still remeber this moment cuz it made me so happy

when we (Egypt) won the african cup of nations 2006.
its recent i know but its my best thing to remember, i attended the final, and the match was sooo tough with cote d'ivoire, it was 0-0 for 4 halfs and we won at the penalties, this is normal i know it happens alot but the impact on the egyptians was amazing, everybody screamed so loud and stayed in the streets till morning singing and celebrating.there was about 75million praying for that victory and when we got it, there was 75million people celebrating, it was a day i'll never forget as long as i live.
i dont know how to describe the day, but u cant imagine how was it for me, i'm so much into soccer, not to mention that egyptians didnt experience that kinda happiness for a long time, so it was like a doubled happiness among us.

It was the night I said goodbye forever to a friend I secretly adored/loved to bits. I was abroad, it was a warm August night, and a bunch of us had just left the bar after celebrating our last get-together before we all had to go home to our own countries. Before I got into my taxi, he reached out and shook my hand. We stood there for what seemed like a long time, shaking hands and looking into each other's eyes. It was the electricity of our gaze that I will never forget, all of the unspoken thoughts and feelings that we were passed back and forth within just seconds of eye contact. Afterwards, I got into my taxi and cried.

honestly? ok...
my boyfriend and i went on our first date (we'd known each other a couple years prior to this) to the movies. then we went to the park, we sat inside this coliseum structure and about 50 feet away was a lake. the moon was out and the stars looked amazing, well right there and then we had our first kiss. it was beautiful! i remember him being so nervous (b/c he's shy around girls) his jaw was trembling a bit when we kissed. it was great. then he brought me home and all i could think about that night was our kiss. it was such an amazing night that i'll never forget. :)

The day my son looked at me and said wuv momma- then he smiled and gave me a baby kiss (he was 1 at the time and youknow those baby kisses I'm talking about- not quite close-lipped, just open and really drooly).

I'll take that with me to my grave.
