guy brandished a loaded weapon on me- hence he is crazy!!! He is being charged with a class 1 misdemeanor- hence why should I testify so that he can get my home address (i am in the telephone book) and who knows what happens. have called the officer, no return call. called da office, no call back. what should I do?????

You should go. Who sent the subpoena? The guy's attorney or the state? Either way, there's someone listed there, and that's who you should contact regarding this issue. You can also attempt to contact the chambers of the presiding judge. They can provide armed escorts, and they can request that your home address be sealed and not disclosed to the defendant.

Your testimony is important in the case. For security concerns, contact the prosecuting attorney.

I went through the same thing at a place I worked. Guy had a butcher knife. I went to court and told them I couldn't remember much about the incident. The guy had been picked up with the knife so they already had him. I didn't have to worry about the guy coming after me and he was still found guilty.

You'd better go to court. If he was gonna use the gun--wouldn't he when he had the chance?? He's probably just a big stupid coward anyway. Grab your balls and go to court.

i can only tell you what i would do. i would just go through with it. i refuse to be afraid of crazy people. maybe because i'm slightly crazy myself. get yourself some home protection.

If you don't go you can go to jail and he might get you in there. You will get a warrant if you don't go and you are subpoenaed.
