This really depends on where you are located. I am an experienced piano teacher in North Carolina (one of the larger cities), and here the range is anywhere from $15 to 30 per half hour lesson. In more rural areas that rate would be lower.
If youa re in the USA, you might try www.musicarts.com and search for a local Music and Arts store. The lessons there are competitively priced, but not huge. Also, try www.pianoteachers.com to search for a teacher.
Yuo will want an experienced teacher, but you do not need someone with their Masters or Doctorate.
Good Luck!

Well, most musicians charge as to what level they're skills are at and what degree in music they have. If you play in a Philharmonic most of them charge $100 If you have a masters in music, most likely $50-75 If you have a PhD, then you can charge as much as you want, being over $100 is okay. Most members of orchestras or freelancers charge atleast $45 and up per hour. It all depends on you though. I know for a fact that members of Philharmonics such as the L.A. Phil charge a lot for lessons!

I used to teach piano, but I haven't for years. My daughter took voice from someone years ago in high school. That teacher is up to $35/hour now.
You might have to pay $25/45-50 minutes. I would look in a weekly paper that you might get, or a "Pennysaver" like we get in my neighborhood. If you don't see a teacher advertising, place an ad yourself. You might also call your local music store, or perhaps a local high school. Often, high school music teachers teach on the side, for some extra $$.
good luck!

It depends on where you go but it shouldn't cost too too much. I taught my-self how to play. Just buy a book then follow the instructions and take it slow from their . But if you really want to get lessons it probably be maybe 50 $ a month.

Depending on where you live you can get lessons ranging from $15-$150 an hour. Just check around with your local music stores, usually music instructors advertise there. Remember though alot of times you get what you pay for.

Teacher at our studio just said she charges $35 a lesson- but it also depends on where you live she said- and what caliber of teacher you want.
Call local music shop for more info- that is where I got hooked up for learning sax and drums

I called a place to start lessons for my daughter, and the guy said it was 15 dollars for every half hour. I bought her a "teach yourself" book instead.
