Tom Clancy or Clive Cussler?

Tom is more believeable than Cussler, but his stuff takes forever to get into...sometimes I have to read 300 pages to get to the main action in a Clancy book!
Cussler has lost me somewhat since he "retired" Dirk and Al. I can't get into the next generation!

For stuff being written now - Clive Cussler. Tom Clancy has been using collaborators recently, so I prefer Clive over the new Tom Clancy material. But, I really like the old Tom Clancy stuff best!
