I have to say i'm at work right now and when I read this story, I cried. Hopefully people don't think i'm crazy. But, my heart is growing more weary by the minute and i'm feeling like jail isn't enough. The citizens should be allowed to seek vengeance. And i'm not feeling Bible quotes right now, although I believe in God. Waiting until judgment day is too long in my opinion.

Think if they are tried and convicted they should be let go and branded on the forehead with child killer.

Then it would be up to society to deal with them.

I know child abuse is a terrible thing and have had some experience with it as an ex-prosecutor. I also know that the judgement day is really far away (or not). But, in some cases when the evidence is so clear that there is no doubt of the guilt of of the suspected party, then the authorities take care of those. However, when things are not as clear, imagine what would happen to you if you took someone's life in the belief that he or she was guilty and later, the evidence proves that in effect, he or she was innocent and there is another guilty party? When I say this, I mean, how would you feel inside and for the rest of your life. Even if it seems that justice takes a long time, we have to believe in our established systems.

No.

I'm sorry, but no matter how sad, sick, disgusting, or downright evil an act is done, we should not be allowed to hunt and kill the perpetrators. I'm not saying that they don't deserve it- they probably deserve that and far worse. But we live in a land of freedoms and protections and rights- and everyone has the right to judgement in a trial (not by an angry mob, but in an impartial court), and the right to punishments that are not cruel and unusual. Like I said, a lot of people deserve the cruel punishments, but we do not, as a country, administer them.

Just know that what awaits these people is far worse than a temporary hunting and brief death- either their own consciences, or whatever you think comes after death for wrongdoers.

It would stop them from doing it again. Anyone who abuses children or animals (or women) should at least be locked up away from any other victims. Maybe put them all on an island & let them kill each other?

As a law-abiding citizen, I would have to say, let the law take its course. However, in cases where children are hurt, I would go for the death penalty.

No, you need a system that proves guilt.

You sound as if your sure that you have the ability to tell when people are innocent or guilty.

Many guilty rome free. Many innocent are found guilty. Our system is set up to figure out who the public think are guilty not the truth of the matter.

Enacting supposed justice on whom you "think" is guilty is not fair to anyone.

Stick them in jail forever with no getting out. Since I know that regular prisoners beat up child molesters and such I think it would be better to keep them locked up forever.

no. vengence only leads to wrongful death and more murders. the story doesn't even say how thechild died. For all we know, it could be a natural death, or an accidental suicide. And by natural death, I mean something like influenza that kills hundreds of people every year. Do not jump to conclusions.

no but letting them go in a football field with 25' concrete walls and allowing people to shoot at them from the nose bleed seats sounds fine, cause what if they got away in the woods?
