Jimmy Hendrix or Stevie Ray Vaughan. Who's better? I SAY HENDRIX, because all I've ever heard is Vaughan copycatting Hendrix. I mean Stevie Ray is pretty damn good, but Hendrix is NUMBAH ONE!! Am I right?

SRV's volume of work is much larger than Hendrix's. Hard to say. I disagree though - I think their styles are far far far apart and both quite distinctive. I don't think SRV copy-catted at all..he had his own thing going on fur shur. Hendrix had produced a small volume of work before dying - but his legend personafies him. He was most certainly one of the pioneers ..doesn't & shouldn't always make someone the best though.
I love 'em both & I give them both their props.. and was around when they were both alive ... but have to go with Stevie..it's close though..by a guitar string.

Hendrix is over-rated. He just played loud and dirty. He couldn't play acoustic or clean. Clapton is the best of all time.
