The Soviet Union no longer exists.
The Soviet Union consisted of Russia, and several other, now independent countries, like Uzbekistan, Georgia, etc.

No. The Soviet Union was like the United States - a conglomerate of separate state-like entities. Now that union is dissolved, so you have many different nations, including Russia. It's like if the US ended and you now had all these separate nations instead of one nation comprised of many states. The US would cease to exist, just as the Soviet Union has.

You question amuses me. I traveled from one end of the Soviet Union to the other during its last years. There were no communists among the people, they hated them worse than us and with better reason. After the first few years of the revolution, Lenin told Armand Hammer that communism didn't work, but he didn't know how to get out of it. Communism goes against human nature. Why would any liberal want that for their country? Like your question, it makes little sense. The second part of your question assumes something that simply isn't true. It is like a "push" poll, one that smears by insinuation that a falsehood is a truth. You cannot back up your claim by any data. It is a question designed to smear liberals, rather than an honest inquiry. I would suggest you spend less time listening to hate radio such a Limbaugh and the rest of the right wing nuts, and pick up a book and read, think, and reflect. When you start to have your own thoughts rather than parroting the drivel that comes out of their mouths, you'll start to feel empowered to make sane judgements and rational statements. Good luck on your new journey.
