Well, I have a friend who proudly announces she has farted, sometimes with a follow-up report on the foulness of its odor or the degree of wetness.
She has helped lift some of my terrified shyness surrounding farting. Now, whenever I fart, I take responsibility for it, loud and proud!

Anyway, it would depend on the driver, who the other occupants of the car were and how well I knew them, if I cared how they would respond , etc.
Otherwise, I would not admit anything. It would be too embarrassing.

never!! lol.. and I wouldn't call attention to it either, cuz others in the car would likely say 'you smelled it, you dealt it'.. ahaha
I have three sons, and while they were growing up, this was an ongoing thing we all teased each other about. the funniest story my youngest son has is about one time i farted and scared his cat half to death. LOL.. it's one of those stories that get told time after time when we get together, even though we've heard it about a million times by now. the funniest thing about it is how my son tells it. the story gets better each time, the cat's eyes get bigger, his reaction gets crazier, and we all end up laughing so hard we fall off our chairs and have tears in our eyes. too funny! whenever there's someone new visiting who hasn't heard this story yet, trust me, one of my sons brings it up, asking my youngest son to 'tell the story about the time mom farted'. aha..
And of course, I still 'protest' saying surely it was one of them that dealt it. :D

I would try my best not to fart in a car, but if it slipped I would feel compelled to take credit for it.

I usually say it's something else before anyone smells it. Like wow there must be a papermill or chemical plant around here because it sure stinks.

hell yeah its not a crime to fart everyone does it they would know its you anyway most people go bright red or get defensive when asked so id rather be a farter than a lier.
