well tv makes it alot more louder then it actully is. I have delivered three times and have never screamed in pain, but it defintly did hurt like hell. I have heard other ladies screaming all types of things while delivering, it just depends on the person,

Some of us choose natural childbirth. With my second and third child, I had no drugs, and it was no harder or more painful than the first time when I did have pain medication. I, um, we'll go with the phrase 'spoke loudly' but I wasn't whining and moaning. Of course to be fair my longest delivery took less than 5 hours, and I know there are people who take more than a full day.
If TV portrayed childbirth as being easy, most likely:
#1 There would be an increased incidence of childbirth in young people who weren't ready for parenting and might have otherwise been scared off by the fear of pain.
and
#2 People who have difficult childbirths, or who think they do, might get angry and not watch that show. Moms do tend to be jealous of others who had an easier time. It is very likely someone would say "That b**** Rachel, she didn't even complain in the episode where she had the baby. I hate this show." Cause moms can get petty like that.

Well, I have had 4 kids and I did a bit of "vocalizing" with all 4. Except for my first baby, when I was the only one in the hospital in labor, I heard plenty of yelling coming from the rooms of other moms. It does hurt and there is a lot of effort that goes into pushing, so some of the vocalizing comes from that. Some women become quite irritable, especially during that transition period when active labor goes into full swing and hearing a few women giving their husbands an earful is not uncommon either.

You mean the yelling and cursing?
Yes, it still does, even with the drugs and injections, childbirth can still be a very uncomfortable process. Remember, too much medication can hurt the baby. Doctors are trying to strike a balance between the mother's comfort and the baby's safety.
Also, one must remember that even after the baby is delivered, the birth canal, the mother's hip bones and other parts damaged and distorted during pregnancy and birth will need time to heal and return to a "normal" state. This process can still hurt, long after the meds have worn off.

Legally and age-smart he's technically an "grownup," yet no longer in attitude or habit! Your identify is powerful! Do you certainly have self assurance that him chiding you the way he has or reprimanding you once you "do some thing incorrect," is treating you with the honour you deserve? i will assure you that the answer to that question is a sturdy, "Heck no!" You deserve greater efficient than the way that he's treating you. purely because of the fact he's eighteen and you're 17 (as though it fairly is sooo a lot youthful than he's,) does no longer mean which you would be dealt with like a baby! you're a teenage lady for God's sake! i could confront him approximately it and tell him that he's purely a twelve months your senior. Remind him that very quickly interior the close to destiny YOU, specific YOU, would be an grownup and 18. additionally, enable him comprehend that a courting could be MUTUAL. which skill there could be a MUTUAL admire between 2 people, no longer individual who's a jerk and the authoriy and individual who's the inferior "baby." Then he can not cope with you or belittle you or reprimand you as a ascertain could a misbehaving baby. If he would not pay attention to you or ditch his pompous and immature attitude, I say....sell off HIM. sell off him and go away skid marks interior the driveway! purely think of approximately it this form for a 2d: If he's that this controlling and nasty once you're courting, think of how he could be if (Lord forbid) you MARRIED him sooner or later?! He could be telling you what to do, the thank you to gown, the thank you to do your hair, who you ought to talk to, who you ought to no longer...... genuinely, he could be working your finished existence. you're well worth better than the way he's treating you. go accessible and stick it to the guy!!!

My first was back labor, hurt, but not too bad, and I was quiet. My third was a BREEZE in the labor part, no drugs and very little pain..but my SECOND...I don't know why, but it felt like my rear end was going to fall out..I had soooo much pain in my rear, the nurse was wanting me to take drugs to shut me up!! I think it has a lot to do with how the baby's head is presenting or for u guys ( :-) ) where the head is pushing. Maybe my second's head was on a nerve? I don't know but that one hurt like the dickens!

Yes it does. Even though there are more medication options, some mom's still choose to do things the old fashioned way and trust me, you do suffer and all the noise comes out whether you like it or not.
I actually chose to have an epidural....and I had no idea that they could FAIL so I suffered like the best of them.
It was all well worth it though.

It's mostly television, even though it hurts like you wouldn't believe, I've never heard anyone, myself included, scream like they show on TV.
I'm sure there are some women who vocalize like they show but not that many.

Try 9 lbs, first baby, no meds. I screamed like a banshee. Cursed the entire hospital, spit on my husband, gave the nurse a nice slap on her cheek and kicked the doctor in the crotch. My next kid had an epidural VERY early.
