Hardees has always been gross but they should be required to wear gloves especially if they handle money too. My brother worked as a busboy in a really expensive restaurant and he said if someone dropped a full plate of food on the floor, they served it anyway. The pissed off waiter spitting in someone's food before they serve it is not a rumor. He quit eating out for years after that job!

The glove issue is different for each state. In my state it is not required, and is infact frowned upon in some cases. When handling raw products, such as raw beef and poultry, then it is required, but not the finished product. As far as Hardee's being deemed discusting, that's a little harsh, ya think? You may not have liked the way it was prepared but you cannot assume that every Hardee's is the same way. And as far as eating on the back line like that, that is a violation, atleast in my state. All employee food must be kept in a sealed and labeled container until consumed in a non-prepatory part of the establishment. If you're not getting any cooperation from the manager then I'm sure the owner would like to know. The owner's name and contact information must be posted in plain sight of a dine-in customer, so look on the wall next to the registers or on comment cards. You can even contact the local health department and they will make a visit within 5 days.

Gloves are optional at the fast food restaurants. Really what's the purpose of the them when I have seen employees with gloves on and reach to toast the sandwich (Subway) with the tray and the handle of the oven. BOING!!!! You've just cross-containmentated the gloves. Are the gloves all that cleaned?

Check with your local health department. In my state we have a no bare hands rule that says you can touch food that will be cooked with your bare hands but must wear gloves (no bare hands) on food ready-to-eat--as in when they are assembling a burger. Guess I'm the exception here. I think their six dollarburger is great. The quality of different restaurants in the same chain can vary widely depending on the importance management places on cleanliness, though.

Yes, whether they use gloves or not it's still disgusting! Sorry Hardees. To bad they lost that excellent steak biscuit they used to serve years ago.

Hardees should be thrown into oblivion with all the poor woodland creatures they have massacred and served as "Burgers" and be forced to endure punishment of being force-fed the nasty food they plague us all with for the rest of infinity.

i don't think that they do. My first job was at a Hardees and we didn't have to wear gloves. Just a note though...while working there, i saw people deep fry spiders, mice, and buns (used for playing hockey on slow nights) in the same thing they cook your fries in!!!! how gross is that?

that is nasty. i was under the impression you had to wear gloves at that type of place. i think i would call and complain to the main office. i don't like the thought of people fixing my food without gloves.

You have no idea all the gross thimgs you DONT see. I'd say that stuff is bad for you anyway. Just cook your own fries, burgers, chicken and whatever at home. It's helthier, cheaper and you get to make sure it's been handled properly.

Noooooooo DOUBT!!! The commercials even gross me out. You know a place is bad when that happens!!!
Yeah, gloves and some sort of paper hat should be worn. You can contact your local news station that does food reports.
