I have oily skin and want to know what the best foundation and powder is to use and have it stay on. I currently use Clinqiue foundation and Cover Girl Pressed Powder and it works well but I just want to know what else is out there.

Also I want to know what kind of cleanser I should use in order to prevent having such oily skin. I really dont have much of a problem with acne but really want to rid myself of oily skin.

It is such a hassel to have to reapply makeup because it just disappears!

so far i like Merle Norman Luxiva Foundation Powder.. it's like $30, but lasts awhile and if u apply w/ wet sponge u get great coverage and i find that it slightly controls my oily skin... i guess u do need to keep oil blotters handy just in case.

as for ur oily skin, currently i have been spreading a thin layer of honey on my skin after washing w/ Cetaphil, rinse, dry, and moisturize. the honey is a natural anti bacteria, and it seems to Condition the skin to be soft and moist, but not oily. :) good luck~

OK, I have the exact problem!!!! Or, I used to. I started using Mary Kay about 4 years ago because of this. The Deep Cleanser worked wonders... I can only use it in the summer now, but used it everyday when I started. Also, the microdermabrasion is good because it sloughs off dead skin cells. The oil control lotion is a GREAT moisterizer for the daytime. It controls oil the entire day! If you do get oily, try using the oil mattifier. It can go on over make-up at anytime and finishes like a powder. Make sure you use a moisterizer at night... no matter how oily your skin is. Try the oil free hydrating gel.

Foundation: medium-coverage liquid foundation. I use the dual-coverage powder foundation (really just a pressed powder) to set it. I think sometimes the cream to powder foundations are too oily for our skin type.

All mary Kay make-up is guaranteed.

I use Clinique also...both foundation and powder. I agree that it works well, and possibly trying other products. I also use Revlon ColorStay which is oil free, and it works well, but I use that sparingly. I also have the Bare Essencuals mineral veil which works wonderfully. Just apply your regular foundation and powder, then top it off with the moneral veil.
For the cleanser, I use the Biore exfoliating scrub, then the Clinique face wash for oily skin. I use either the Clean and Clear toner, or the Clinique toner, then moisturize with the Biore Shine Free moisturizer. If I have any blemishes, I just dab a little acne cream on it before I moisturize.
If you get oily throughout the day, carry some blotting tissues or even napkins. I find that Starbucks napkins or any other napkin with that same texture soaks up the oil! Good Luck!

You should try Arbonne's Intelligence Personalizer. It looks like a pressed powder compact but it's tinted green (to neutralize redness) and you use it right after your moisturizer (if you use one) and before your makeup. It will neutralize any oil production.

You can also try their Mineral Powder foundation with SPF 15. It's a powder foundation and the great part is, you don't need a separate foundation, powder and sunscreen!

The Clear Advantage line of skin care works really well for problem skin. It also comes with a nutritional supplement to help support skin health from the inside out!

Well. First cleanse your face with any of Clean and Clear's exfloiation facial washes. Morning Burst works the best for me. Lancome and Channel work amazingly, but they are $expensive$ and liquid...which is really bad for your skin. Maybelline and Bare Minerals is sooooooo awesome for oily and acne prone skin. These products are affordable and work fantasticly. Jergins Natural Glow can even skin tone and help prevent acne. This also works well.

The trick to oil control is in your skin care! Your foundation can only do so much by itself. I agree with Jo that Mary Kay's skin care can do wonders for your oily skin. In my line of work, I've seen so many women fall in love with the unbelieveable results they've gotten from the program for a little more than what some women are paying just for their foundation! The best part is that their foundation is designed to work with your skin care program to produce the best results. If you contact her, I'm sure she can get you a customized program you'll love! Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Mary Kay has foundation for normal to dry or normal to oily skin. They also have a product called Oil Mattifier. It works sooo good. If you call 1-800-Mary Kay they will give you the # to a consultant near you, or you can e-mail me with specific questions as I am also a consultant. I'm 24 yrs old so I can relate to having problems with the skin. Also, Mary Kay is 100% money-back guarantee so if you don't feel it is working for you you can return it with no questions asked, Good Luck!!!

I have oily skin too, and I found Arbonne's mineral powder makeup to do the trick for me. It's $34, which is half the price of Bare Minerals....and it lasts for about 9 months!
My daughter uses the ARbonne "intelligence" self balancing skin care system. She used to use Proactive, but it dried her skin out too much. Arbonne stuff doesn't do that.

Best of Luck 2 ya!

You might want to try mineral makeup! I just ordered a sample set from everyday minerals, and all I had to pay was shipping and handling. L'oreal makes one that I like, it also has a brush that is attached to the lid so it's not as easy to spill.
