One tiny example is in chapter 6, when Miss Stepahnie Crawfod assumes that the "intruder" in the Radley Yard was a "*****". This reveals a common prejudice that assumes that if soemone is a criminal, then they must be a Negor, becasue all negroes are criminals. This belief is the reason that Tom is convicted later in the novel, and why Miss Gates states "it's about time someone taught them a lesson"...even though she taught the class about "prejudice" a few weeks before...

The innocence of the black man on trial was proven beyond a reason of a doubt, but yet the jury found him guilty anyways.

There was no way he could have choked and rape the girl at the same time since he only had the use of his right hand. And the finger prints in the girls neck were from a left handed person.

He could not have held her down with only one hand and choked her and rape her all at the same time

You would have to be blind and prejudice to not see that forensic CLEARLY show the accused black man innocent beyond all doubt.
