What classifies an eating establishment as being a Restaurant? When you go out to eat with friends on a Friday night and someone says, "Ok, pick a restaurant!" I doubt the top 5 fast food chains come to mind.

If dunno because if any place that cooks food is a restaurant then I live in a restaurant, cause we cook at my house everyday.lol.

Maybe because "fast food" gets a bad rap because most places do not have healthy food. They are trying to get out of that limelight and into a better light. When one thinks of a restaurant they think of a nice, clean sitting place that doesn't have a drive-thru window. Prices will not be so cheap either.
Better quality food too. Healthier options.
