Hey! "they" say that you have 48 hours during ovulation to get pregnant..in other words approx 14 days after your missed period...but all that depends on your cycle, etc. just remember that there is no "bigger day" because every single person is different, some people may ovulate at 17 days, who knows...there really is no way of telling. I tried calculating it to the minute but was unsuccessful. Best bet is to relax and let nature takes its course. REmember not to "do it" because its the time...your body will know when the right time is.

You have to know how your cycle works in order to know when you're most fertile. The day you ovulate, and the few days before it, are the most fertile days. If you're the "average" woman, then you get your period on day one and ovulate on day 14 of a 28-day cycle. That means you're most fertile days 11-14. However, everyone's cycle works differently.
You can track your temperature to find out when you ovulate each cycle. Your temp will jump up the day after ovulation, so it doesn't tell you when to have sex, but it does help you learn how your cycle works for next time. You can use ovulation prediction tests to find out when you're about to ovulate. That's helpful.
Check out the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility, and the site Fertility Friend. There's lots of help out there. Good luck!

generally, ovulation occurs about 14 days before your next menstrual period begins. That means if your menstrual cycle is a 28-day one, that could make day #14 your most fertile day (day #1 is the first day that your last period began). If yours is a 30-day cycle, day #16 could be the time to go for it. A 32-day cycle would have day #18 as one of the best days to get pregnant

If you are trying to get pregnant here are a few good websites to track your ovulation. Webmd.com, babyzone.com, babycenter.com, fertilityfriend.com. Also I would buy ovulation tests at the store for a more accurate idea as to when you are fertile. In most cases women ovulate 14 days before the start of your period. But in rare cases women can have early or late cycles. Hope that helps. :)

For most women, in mid cycle is when you ovulate (the greater chance of conceiving). So if you're on a 28 day cycle, ovulation would normally occur on the 14th day. Increase sex on or around this day. If you're not sure when you ovulate, there are ovulation predictor tests you can purchase over the counter to determine more precisely. But if your menstrual cycles take place at a normal time, just predict ovulation to occur mid cycle.

Its the 24-36 hours that the egg is fertile. This happens about 12-24 hours after the LH surge that indicates ovulation.
for a typical 28 day cycle this is around day 14. but thats not set in stone, and doesnt apply to every woman.

If you have a regular 28 day cycle. 14 days from the start of your last period is when you will ovulate. So because sperm can live inside of you for 4-5 days you should start trying 9 days from the start of your last period.
Good luck!
