Why does all my documents i stored in the my computer is open up with WORDPAD instead of MICROSOFT WORD from where i created my documents from?? All this suddenly happened after i remove the WORDPERFECT program from my laptop.Does anyone have this experience?Please advise...

Re-associate the documents by changing thier program that opens them. You can do this by going to the Properties of each document. Right Click on it.

Yeah this is par for the course. All you have to do is go to these documents and once you open then go to ------file------save as-----in the drop down at the bottom of that box just change the format that they are saved as. You can also rt click and choose 'open with' on the file itself. Hope this helps.

Choose any word document, right click on it, choose properties in opens with section press change and choose ms word.

Right click on file "open with" choose microsoft word from list and check "remember my selection" that should fix your file association problem.

you have to install word again why because you have remove the utility with W/P which convert the doc to word.
